Terms of Service
Last updated:
These terms are the rules for using ssyoutube. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy. They take effect on 3 October 2026.
In short: ssyoutube is free and finds download links for YouTube videos. Only download videos you own, have permission to download or that are licensed for downloading, and respect copyright and YouTube's rules. The Service comes without guarantees, and we may change or stop it at any time.
Accepting these terms
By using this website and the download tool on it (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. "ssyoutube", "we", "us" and "our" mean the operator of the Service; "you" means anyone who uses it.
What ssyoutube does
ssyoutube helps you get download links for publicly available YouTube videos. When you submit a link, our server asks a third-party video-data provider which formats YouTube offers for that video (or uses a recent answer from our cache) and shows them to you. When you press a Download button, the file opens directly from YouTube's servers (run by Google) in your browser, where you can save it.
We do not host, store, copy, convert or modify any videos, and video files never pass through our servers. We have no control over the videos, their content or whether they stay available. The Service is free of charge and needs no account.
Who may use the Service
You may use the Service if you can form a binding agreement under the law that applies to you. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, use ssyoutube only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf. The Service is not directed to children under 13.
Using the Service lawfully
Downloading a video can infringe the rights of the people who made it. You are responsible for what you download and how you use it. You may use the Service only to download videos:
- that you created or hold the rights to;
- that the copyright owner has allowed you to download; or
- that are published under a licence that allows downloading, for example some Creative Commons licences (follow the licence conditions, such as giving credit).
Use downloads only for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, unless the rights holder or the licence allows more. You must also follow YouTube's Terms of Service, which allow downloading only where YouTube itself offers it or where YouTube and, where needed, the rights holder have given permission, and the copyright laws that apply to you, such as the Copyright Act, 1957 in India, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) in the United States and similar laws in other countries.
What you must not do
When using the Service, you must not:
- infringe copyright or other rights, or remove or change copyright notices, watermarks or licence information;
- obtain or spread unlawful content, for example content that is obscene, defamatory, invades someone's privacy, promotes violence or harms children;
- use bots, scripts, scrapers or other automated means to access the Service (search engines indexing our pages are welcome), or use our video look-up service from other websites or apps;
- try to get around our rate limits, daily limits or other protections, for example by switching IP addresses;
- overload, disrupt, probe or attack the Service or the networks it runs on, or try to reach parts of it that are not public;
- resell, frame or embed the Service, present it as your own, or suggest that we endorse you;
- use the Service in any way that breaks a law or regulation that applies to you.
Availability, limits and changes
We provide the Service free of charge and may change, limit, suspend or stop all or part of it at any time, with or without notice. In particular:
- To keep the Service available to everyone, we limit how many requests a network can make per minute and how many new videos it can look up per day. These limits may change at any time.
- We cannot guarantee that a video can be downloaded, or that a particular format, quality, sound track or file size is offered. This depends on YouTube and on our video-data provider.
- Download links come from YouTube's servers and stop working after a few hours, after which you need to look the video up again.
- Private, age-restricted, deleted or region-blocked videos and live streams usually cannot be downloaded.
Third-party services and trademarks
The Service depends on services run by others, including YouTube and Google (which host the videos and serve the files), Cloudflare (which hosts our website and server) and our third-party video-data provider. We don't control these services; your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
ssyoutube is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by YouTube or Google. YouTube and Google are trademarks of Google LLC. Other trademarks belong to their owners and are mentioned only to describe what the Service works with.
Our content
The ssyoutube name and logo, the design of this website and the text we wrote for it belong to us. You are welcome to link to any page of this website, but you may not copy our design, logo or text without our written permission. Videos, thumbnails and titles shown in results belong to their respective owners.
Copyright complaints
We respect the rights of copyright owners. ssyoutube does not host videos: the files are stored on and served from YouTube's servers. To have a video removed from YouTube itself, use YouTube's copyright removal process. If you own the copyright in a video, or are authorised to act for the owner, and do not want our Service to provide download links for it, send us a notice. We accept notices under India's Copyright Act, 1957 and Copyright Rules, 2013, the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act and similar laws.
How to send a notice
Email contact@ssyoutube.live with the subject "Copyright notice" and include:
- your full name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
- a description of the copyrighted work that you believe is being infringed;
- the YouTube link of each video concerned;
- if you are not the copyright owner, how you are authorised to act for the owner (for example as exclusive licensee or agent);
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf;
- your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is enough).
What we do
When we receive a complete notice, we will promptly block the video concerned on our Service, so that ssyoutube no longer shows download links for it (visitors see a "video unavailable" message instead), and confirm this to you by email. Blocking on ssyoutube does not remove the video from YouTube or from other websites. If details are missing, we may ask you for them, which can delay our response. Knowingly making false statements in a notice may make you liable for damages.
Counter-notice
If you believe a video was blocked by mistake or misidentification, email contact@ssyoutube.live with the subject "Counter-notice" and include:
- your full name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
- the YouTube link of the blocked video;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith that the video was blocked as a result of a mistake or misidentification;
- a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts for the place where your address is (for an address in the United States, the federal district court for that district) and that you will accept service of legal process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent;
- your physical or electronic signature.
We may forward a valid counter-notice, including your contact details, to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us within 14 working days that they have started court proceedings, we may unblock the video.
Repeat infringement
We may block access to the Service for anyone who repeatedly uses it to infringe copyright, as far as we can identify them, for example by their network.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or free of errors, that results will be accurate or complete, or that files you download are free of errors or harmful components. You use the Service and any downloaded files at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ssyoutube is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service or any downloaded content, even if we were told that such damage was possible. Because the Service is free, our total liability for all claims relating to it is limited to INR 1,000 (one thousand Indian rupees).
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory law where you live.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate ssyoutube for any claims, losses, damages, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, that result from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Service or your infringement of anyone's rights.
Suspension and blocking
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend, restrict or block your access, for example by blocking a network, at any time and without notice if we reasonably believe that you are breaking these terms or the law, or to protect the Service and its users. Provisions that by their nature should continue to apply (such as copyright, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law) remain in effect after you stop using the Service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example when the Service or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Changes apply from the moment they are published here, and by continuing to use the Service afterwards you accept them. If a change is significant, we will make it clearly visible on this website.
Governing law and disputes
These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of the Service, are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules that allow you to bring a claim where you live, the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction. Before going to court, please contact us so that we can try to resolve the issue informally.
General
- Entire agreement. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
- Severability. If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it is limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest of these terms stays in effect.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- Transfer. We may transfer these terms to anyone who takes over the Service. You may not transfer your rights under them.
- Language. These terms are written in English. If we ever provide a translation, the English version prevails.
